Pupil of Gestapo On Trial In America
Rec. 11.30 p.m. New York, Aug. 24. Herbert Bahr was convicted in the Federal court of conspiring with the Gestapo to spy in the United States. Bahr faces the possible death penaity. The Federal Bureau of Investigation discovered Bahr's espionage activities during an investigation of passengers in the diplomatic exchange ship Drottingholm. Bahr, who is an American citizen, returned to the United States on the Drottingholm after very intensive training in espionage methods in Germany.
