Wedding
Smith — Bilhngton In St. Mary's Church, Hawera, Norah, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. RBiliington, Tirimoana, was married to Spencer Knox, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Smith, Westown, New Plymouth. The bride, escorted by her fatlier, wore a classically fashioned gown of ivory satin, featuring Richelieu work on the shoulder, waist and oval train. Ivory satin flowers were appliqued on the corners of the tulle veil, which was held by a coronet of white velvet camelias. She carried a shower bouquet of white camellias and prunus blossom. Miss Elsie Biliington, sister of the bride, and Miss Doone Smith. sister of the bridegroom, were frocked alike in silver lame frocks cut on Elizabethan lines. They wore coronets of scarlet flowers, and fearn, and carried shower bouquets of scarlet camellias. The Rev. Canon D. B. Malcolm otflciated. Mr. W. Ross Lindsay, Hawera, was best man, Mr. Ernest Biliington, brother of the bride, groomsman, and Mr. Ian Dunlop, usher. Mr. R. Robson was organist, and Miss Betty Entwistle sang "Oh Promise Me." A gown of black embossed cloque with black accessories was worn by the bride's mother at a reception at the Carlton. The bridegroom's mother wore a burgundy frock with matching accessories and a fitch fur cape. When she left on her honeymoon, Mrs. S. K. Smith wore a suit of teal blue tweed, with black hat and accessories. After the reception guests were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Wlritworth. .
