Prehistoric Skull Stolen From Japan
Rec. 6.30 p.m. New York, Aug. 23. j Tokio radio announces that the skull i of the Pekin man lias been stolen from ' Peiping and another skull substituted ! for it. i (The fossfi human remains known as Pekin man were discovered in 1928 near Pekin. They consisted of paris of two jaws of an adult and a chijd and parts of the brain cases. Next year the jarger part of a skull was found. In its oharaceristics the skull approaches to the anthropoids but it has pecuiiarities which cause it to be reganied as human and near the direct line of modern mar.'s ancestry.)
