Miss Waveney Hughson, Auckland, is r,pending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. M. S. Hughson. Mesdames C. G. Bottrill, J. H. Boon and P. 0. Veale were hostesses at the Taranaki Women's Club bridge circle evening on Wednesday. Mrs. Hugh McDonald, Morrinsville, is visiting her mother, Mrs. A. Alexander. Mrs. L. R. Jones has returned to Awakino after visiting New Plymouth. Prisoners of War Club. The monthly meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the Prisoner-of-War Relatives' Association was presided over by Mrs. F. E. Wilson. The meeting opened with a prayer for prisoners of war. Mrs. Wilson reported on the result of representations by the association for a supply of wool for comforts.
