J. Sampson won the Tarurutangi Golf Club's junior championship in the week-end, beating N. Johnson 4 and .3' over 36 holes. The club's championship position now is: — Men: Senior, E. R. Street (runner-up, R. J. Stffeet): intermediate, M. Keegan to play M. Dineen; junior, J. Sampson (N. Sampson). Women: Senior, Miss Ethel Street (Miss J. Petch) ; intermediate, Miss P. Driscoll (Mrs. B. Linn); junior, Mrs. N. T. Tailby (Mrs. G. Daly); limit, Mrs. J. Medley (Mrs. Sampson). A stableford played on Saturday was won by J. Sampson, 23—15—38. A women's stableford on Saturday was won by Mrs. Tailby 18—19—37, other cards being: Miss Driscoll 19—14—33, Miss Hamilton 8—24—32, Mrs. Linn 16— 15—31. A junior medal round was won by Mrs. Harlow 58—18—40, Mrs. Medley being second with 60 — 18 — 42.
