LABOUR PARTY SOCIAL

The New Plymouth women's branch of the Labour Party held its monthly social recently, when Mrs. F. L. Frost and Miss E. Cooper were hostesses. The president, Mrs. H. J. Elliot.t, was the guest of the evening and was presented with a floral spray by Mrs. Shaw, who I offered members' congratulations on her being appointed a J.P. Mr. F. L. Frost, M.P., also offered his congratulations. Vocal items were given by Mrs. Robinson, Miss Cooper Mr. A. Wright, a classical dance by Miss Riley. while dance music was supplied by Mesdames Morwood and Roberts. Mr. A. Wright was master of ceremonies.
