Waste Prevented is Money Saved

If one of the great aids of electricity is to heat, another is to cool. A few years ago the farm wife could have laid the blame for unpreventable waste on the weather, but in 1940 there could be no such argument. Everyone knew that electric refrigerators would keep all kinds of food in perfect condition for long periods of time.

The proper preservation of food can only be guaranteed at a temperature of 32 degrees F.," and 50 degree F. Above the latter figure foods begin to spoil and below the former they became frozen and damaged. Bacteria, the most harmful of all micro-organisms are prevented from contaminating food in an electric refrigerator. Dust and insects cannot gain access because of the sealed door, no damp at,mosphere can favour the growth of mould, and there is no danger of stagnant air harming the contents because of the constant circulation of cold air from the freezer.
