COMEDY READING
new plymouth society
"Passing Brompton Road," Jevan Bran-don-Thomas' three-act comedy with a domestic setting. was read by members of the New Plymouth Little Theatre Society at an open night in the society's rooms last night. There was a good attendance and the audience found thc play an amusing commentary on the schemes resorted to by a socially amhitious woman and the complications arising from them. The cast was as follows: Mr. Montgomery, Colonel F. W. W. Dawson; Veronica Sloane, Miss M. C. Hoben; Dultitia Sloane, Miss Vera Curtis; Henry Sloane, Mr. Z. Wood; Privett (a maid). Miss C. Greatbach (who also read the stage directions); Miss Carruthers, Miss E. Fleming; Miss Pastel, Miss H. Wragg; Eric Sloane, Mr. H. V. Gregory.
