The Rev. George Goodwin, Cambridge, Waikato, will visit New Plymouth for the week-end. Mr. S. George, who visited Mr. C. H. M. Sorenson, Westown, has returned to Tarata. Lieutenant Bryan, N.Z.T.S., officer commanding sick and wounded personnel, is visiting New Plymouth on official duties. He is staying at the State Hotel. Mr. W. Yates. of the Union Steam Ship Company's Christchurch staff and a former resident of New Plymouth, is on a visit to New Plymouth. Mr. A. Linton, chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board, and Mr. C. H. Courtney, secretary, are visitors to Stratford for the annual meeting of the Federation of Taranaki Co-op. Dairy Companies. Dr. Hugh Keith. who recently arrived in New Zealand from India, has been appointed resident medical officer at the No. 2 elementary flying training school at Bell Block, New Plymouth. Dr. Keith is the father of Flight-Lieutenant Ian Keith, formerly instructor of the New Plymouth Aero Club and now on the permanent staff of the air station. Mr. M. C. Conway and Mr. E. Lacey, members of the staff of the Taranaki Ilerald, were farewelled b.y their fellow workers yesterda.v on the eve of their departure for military service. Mr. Conway is joining the Royal Ncw Zeaiand Air Force. and Mr. Lacey will go into camp as a mcmbcr of thc 1th reinforcements. Mr. A. B. Scanlan, editor, made presentations. • ;
