Bringing the first official party of British children to New Zealand, a ship berthed at Wellington yesterday with a cheerful band waiting to greet their new home. Hamilton Rescue. Unable to swim and semi-conscious, a Hamilton man who fell 50ft into the Waikato River from the traffic bridge was rescued by a passing cyclist, who dived in fully clothed. Smash-and-Grab at Greymouth. Watches and rings worth over £250 were stolen when a jeweller's window vas smashed at Greymouth.
