FAIR AND MILD WEATHER

Last JNignt. = The weather will be fair and mild in : eastern districts and in the North Island, § unsettled on the west coast of the South \ Island wih some further rain and i showers later extending up the west : coast as far as Taranaki and up the east \ coast as far as Canterbury. Tempera- = tures are becoming cooler in the south. : Light to fresh north-westerly winds = will predominate but a change to moder- \ ate southerlies is setting in in the far | south and will probably extend over the : southern half of the South Island. : An anti-cyclone is still located in the | north while a depression is moving on to I southern New Zealand from the Tasman | Sea. Pressure is rising over Tasmania. | Seas will be mainly slight or moderate : but rising somewhat in the Taranaki i Bight and about Cook and Foveaux [ Straits.
