Mrs. John Bayly, Hawera, spent last week-end with her mother, Mrs. P. J. Allen. Miss Doreen Callender is spending a few days at Auckland. Mrs. C. H. Barnitt entertained at her home on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Ulander is visiting Nelson. Mrs. T. Ewens has returned from a visit to Stratford. Mrs. J. Purdie was hostess at a bridge evening on Tuesday in honour of Mrs. J. W. Hamlin. The prize-winners were Mesdames M. Beckbessinger and H. I. Chittenden. Mrs. L. Clark is a visitor to Palmerston North. Mrs. D. And crse n recently returned from New Plymouth. Mrs. H. Baggett left yesterday to spend a holiday at Palmerston North. Mrs. Grylls, Hawera, is visiting Waitara. Mrs. J. Glengarry is spending a holiday at Hawera.
