SINGAPORE AS BASE
WASHINGTON'S ATTITUDE Washington, Sept. 25. The Secretary of the Navy, Col. Frank Knox, said he had not had conversations regarding the possible use of Singapore by the United States fleet. He added that he did not think the United States cruiser Augusta was going to Singapore.
