FAIR, MILD WEATHER
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be mainly fair and mild, but will be unsettled in western districts of the South Island, and showers will later extend to Southland and Otago with the south-westerly change, states the official forecast. Patches of fog are likely again on the Canterbury and Marlborough coast. A belt of high pressure extends from Queensland to beyond the North Island. A weak disturbance is advancing across the Tasman Sea, the lowest pressures being well to the south. Winds will be westerly to northerly, later changing to south-westerly in the south. They will be mainly moderate, but will become strong at times in exposed positions south of New Plymouth and Napier. Seas will be rather rough south of Capf Egmont and slight to moderate elsewhere.
