patriotic suggestion
Wellington, Sept. 26. An appeal made to pupils by the headmaster of the Dominion Road School, Auckland, to forego the Guy Fawkes' celebrations and devote the funds to patriotic purposes has been brought under the notice of Ixird Galway by the school committee secretary, who suggests the possibility of making the appeal a national one. Lord Galway has rcplicd that he 1s arranging for tlie proposal to be discussed by the National Patriotic Fund Board.
