ANZAC BISCUITS.
Two cups rolled oats, 1 scant cup flour, i cup sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 4oz butter, 1 tablespoon golden syrup, 1 tablespoon boiling water. Put the butter, syrup and water in a saucepan and melt, then add the soda and dissolve in the liquid dnd add to the dry ingredients. Place small spoonsful on a cold tray, leaving space to spread, flatten out with a fork and bake 15 minutes.
