RAIL-CAR DELAYED

STEAM SERVICE INSTEAD Owing to the development of trouble on the run from Wellington to Palmerston North, last night's New Plymouth bound rail-car did not complete the journey, It was understood at 1 o'clock this morning that a steam train was about to leave Aramoho, being due at New Plymouth between 4 and 5 a.m. The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, and Mr. E. Casey, general manager, were due at Stratford by the rail-car to meet representatives of Taranaki chambers of commerce concerning the Wellington-Ncw Plymouth railways service. It is understood they were to continue their journey on the relief train.
