DANCE HELD AT AUROA
The monthly dance organised by members of the Auroa young people's social club was a success. Music for dancing was supplied by an orchestra, with extras by Misses Anne 0 Dea, Una West and Mr. M. Whalen. Mr. C. Sole \.as master of ceremonies. Euchre was enjoyed by non-daneers, the prizewinners heing Mrs. A. J. Mischefski 1, Mrs. C. Sole 2. Mr. D. M. Mercer 1, Mr. W. II. Richardson 2. Competitions resulted: Social club, Mrs. R. G. Bradford; Fnrmers' Union, Mr. M. C. Davison 1, Mr. G. D. Dane 2, Mr. A. Smith 3; Women's Division (hcd-jackct givcn by Mrs. J. McGregor), Mr. W. H. Richardson. Novelty dances were won by Miss K, Crompton. and partner and Miss M. Lavell and partner. Personal. Mrs. H. L. Hansen and her daughter are visiting Inglewood. Miss M. Dunn is visiting Hawera as th-: guest of Mrs. J. H. Hooper. Mrs. Spence, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. A. E. llaywnrd.
