SPITFIRE GIFT FUND

TARANAKI COLLECTION

With less than a week still to go, the Taranaki total for the Spitfire fund is £3175 Us. Over £16 was raised for the Taranaki Spitfire fund at a dance held by the Stratford Aero Club on Monday night. A cheque for £16 2s 6d was paid into the Stratford Borough Council office by Mr. D. E. White, club president, and it will be added to the fund. The dance was as successful as any yet held by the club and attracted a large attendance. Mr White was master of ceremonies and was assisted by Mr. P. J. C. Vinsen.
