Uses For Reserve Border

Do not forget to leave room for a reserve border in your garden. In it you can plant out seedlings which have been raised in frames, sow biennials there and leave the seedlings until it is time to plant them out in autumn. Rose and shrub cuttings can be inserted and small parts of divided plants planted out until they are large enough to go into the borders and also raise a few extra flowers for cutting purposes. In fact, if you are really enthusiastic about gardening you will find so many uses for this reserve border that vou will wish it three times as large
