willkie on britain Rec. 11.35 D.m. San Francigco, Sept. 22. Mr. Wendell Willkie, Republican Presidential nominee, yesterday announced a six-point foreign and domestic policy. He said President Roosevelt must "bear a direct share of responsibility for the present war" because he had not followed such a programme. The programme is: — 1. We must keep sending aid to Britain, our first line of defence and our only remaining friend. 2. In the Pacific our best ends can be served by a strong, free and democratically progressive China. We should render economic assistance to that end. 3. An irnpregnable defence system. 4. Revise industry. 5. Wise use of credits and economic agreements. 6. Explore, acquire and develop Pacific air bases.
