BALKAN THRUST PRESSURE ON RUMANIA SOVIET FEELING ALARM Rec. 6.30 p.m. London, Sept. 20. Evidence is accumulating that German military co-operation with Rumania is tantamount to German control, says the correspondent of the r#tmes in the Balkans. General Antonescu, Rumanian "Leader," has appealed to Germany to reorganise the army. It is reliably reported that preparations have been made to enable German aircraft to land at the Floresti airport, near the oilfields, and German Black Guards are reported to be encamped at two places in the same area. Great activity has been observed at the Russian Legation, which is alarmed at these developments and regards ,the new Government with deep suspicion. The continued arrival of Russian reinforcements is reported on the Bessarabian front. Bucharest newspapers to-day published accounts of Hungarian f&tgSadS in Transylvania;_S?s^«of Gi6 outrages, includine^Jjie" crucifixion of a priest in a cji-hrch tower, are known to be true.- ^- General Antonescu in a broadcast said the Rumanian army was unarmed and completely demoralised. If the frontiers were attacked now it would be one of the greatest catastrophies in history. General Antonescu blamed ex-King Carol's regime for the conditions.
