GIFT FROM PIHAMA

TARANAKI SPITFIRE FUND A substantial contribution to the Taranaki Spitfire fund has been received fronv the Pihama hockey clubs by the Daily News. It is a cheque for £12 8s. The total amount acknowledged by the treasurer in Taranaki is now £3081 12s, made up as follows: New Plymouth £1804 2s 2d, Hawera (including £300 from Manaia) £793 3s, Waitara £278 18s 3d, Eltham £57 15s 7d, Stratford £75 17s 6d, Inglewood £44 10s, Opunake £27 5s 6d.
