BOOMERANG CLUB
MEETING AT INGLEWOOD At the annual meeting of the Inglewood Boomerang Club Dr. I. E. Faris presided over a large attendance. He congratulated the club on its work and on the continued support given by the Diggers in the district. The election of an executive committee for 1940-1041 resulted: Messrs. R. B. Young, Ian P. Grant, W. J. Smith, W. R. Moir, H. Patterson and J. A. Ross (secretary). The new executive has the power to elect the president. Presentations were made to Dr. and Mrs. Faris, who are leaving Inglewood, and Mr. W. J. Smith, vice-president, on behalf of the club wished them every success and happiness in the future. Items were contributed by Messrs, W. J. Smith J. Grainger and N. Reesby. Dr. Faris thanked all members who had attended and a hearty vOte of thanks to the artists was passed. The work of the women's committee was praised and a small gift was made to each rnember as a mark of appreciation for attending to the supper arrangements at all the club's events.
