PATEA BIBLE SOCIETY
Collectors for the Patea branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society were entertained at a social afternoon at the residence of Mrs. R. E. Moore. Their efforts had resulted in £24 10s being handed to the society, it was stated. Afternoon tea was provided by the president, Mrs. W. F. Sheild, who was unable to be present owing to illness. Mrs. Sheild wrote expressing thanks to all collectors for their work, to their secretary, Mrs. A. Smiles, to Mrs. R. E. Moore for lending her room, and to the: Rev. E. F.
