"SAFARI" SCREENING.
OPERA HOUSE, HAWERA. A beautiful white woman — alone in the heart of the jungle with two men! That is the situation that the Opera House offers moviegoers in Paramou'nt's "Safari," thrilling action-romance which will be screened to-night with Madeleine Carroll, blonde English star, as the woman, and Douglas Fairbanks, jnr., and Tullio Carminati as the two men. The supporting cast includes Muriel Angelus, Lynne Overman and Billy Gilbert, comedy favourite of musical comedy, legitimate stage, and screen. "Safari," filmecl against the background of an African big-game hunt, tells the story of a girl who sets out to get her man — and winds up pitting two men against each othcr for her love. The film is replete with thrilling action scenes— raging jungle beasts, weird African voodoo rites, exciting chases by land and air of big game. Edward H. Griffith, who made Miss Carroll's last two hits, "Honeymoon in Bali" and "Cafe Society," directed "Safari."
