AIRCRAFT REPAIR
British Official Wireless.
OUTPUT DESPITE DANGER
Rec. 5.5. p.m. Rugby, Sept. 19. A message was issued to-night by the Minister of Aircraft Production, Lord Beaverbrook, to the repair organisation of his industry, in which he gives the highest praise to their magnificent work, both night and day, their indifference to air raids, the maintenance of output in face of danger, and the dwindling record of time out in shelters. "For the week ended September 14," declared Lord Beaverbrook, "the output of their repair organisations in operational types of aircraft— bombers and fighters — was in excess of all types lost or destroyed in battles and accidents." One organisation, despite vast and grievous bombing, that has resulted in many casualties, has lost only two days, and another has lost only 15 minutes in a week.
