DEATH IN JAIL CELL
MAN DRESSED AS WOMAN When 25-year-old Leonard Denis Bovle. a Londoner, was arrested at Woolwich Ferry he was wearing feminine clothing. He was taken to East Ham Police S.tation, . where inquiries showed him to be in possession of stolen property. While in a cell at East he hanged himself by. means of a silk Boyle's mother said that he was an only. child. and l.iked dressing up as a girl, sometimes taking her clothes. She could not stop him. but had nevcr seen him go out like it. She was on holiday. leaving him alone in thc house. at the time of his arrest.
