NEW COMPETITION.

WHO'S GOING TO TRY IT? By pairing off the following short words in various ways you should be able to make quite a number of bigger words. For example, the first word in the list, "Les," will pair off with "on" further down to make "Lesson," and there is just the chance that it may pair off with some of the others as well to make different words altogether. So try juggling th£m round and see how many new words you can get, using of course only the ones given in the list. When you have done that make a neat list of the words you have got, count them and put the number at the end, then write down your name, age and address and ask a grown-up person to put his or her name there too, to show that you have done the competition without any help, and finally post it all away to Wendy, c/o Taranaki Daily News, Box 119, New Plymouth, so that it will arrive not later than Friday, October 4. Prizes will be given for the most correct entries, but neatness will count as well. Here are the words that have to be juggled round and paired off: Less, sea, art, band, bar, of, end, son, ant, age it, red, on, net, hem, ten, rage.
