The indoor trades bowling tournament at New Plymouth was advanced another stage last night when the games in section D were played resulting in a win for Mackay of the New Plymouth club with three wins. The results of each round are as follows: — First round: Boon (contractors) 6 v. Bennett (spare parts) 9; Mrs. Lagore (typists) 5 v. Mackay (agriculture) 9; Billing (boots) 11 v. Benge (butchers) 4; Hartley (firemen) 9 v. Day (borough) 17. Second round: Boon 8 v. Hartley 11; Day 6 v. Bennett 7; Mrs. Lagore 8 v. Billing 12, Benge 9 v. Mackay 11. Third round: Bennett 11 v. Benge 14; Mrs. Lagore 15 v. Hartley 10; Boon 10 v. Billing 8; Day 5 v. Mackay 14. The finalists to play-off on Saturday evening commencing at 6.45 p.m. with one round to play are: Ewens (fishmen) Waitara and Spurdle (mercers) Inglewood, Hawkins (drivers) Paritutu and Mackay (agriculture) New Plymouth.
