BELL BLOCK SCHOOL BALL

The Bell Block children's fancy dress dance on Thursday in the hall was a success. It opened with a grand march, the gay costumes of gipsies, Dutch boys and girls, cowboys, Indians, golliwogs fairies and soldiers making a colourful picture. Mr. Burns played for the adults' dances. Mr. Tate put on amusing turns. A guessing competition was won by .Mis. P Sole for a prize given by Mrs. Drake. The proceeds of the competition are to go to a fund for a school wireless set.
