BATHS AT MANAIA
QUESTION OF A GRANT The Manaia centenary baths committee did not wish to ftnd itself or subcommittees tied for all time by accepting the Education Departments grant ot £158, but it had given an assurance that, as in the past, the facilities of the baths would be available to school children whenever practicable, it was reported by Mr J. C- Barclay at the meeting of the Taranaki Education Board yesterday. The baths were now out of debt, he ted There was therefore no need to proceed further with the question of a grant, a member commented. ihe opinion was expressed that the baths committee would continue to treat tne schools well.
