GRAND THEATRE, HAWERA. Barton MacLane has the leading role as Ace King rach.eteer cellmate of Clarence Kolb; a millionaire serving two years for income tax evgsion. Kolb hires exconvicts after his release, feeling they deserve another chance to atone lor their errors. MacLane is an unscrupulous character, who intends to take auvantage of Kolb's generosity once he is established in Kolb's firm. But the faith of the old man gradually transforms tne hard racketeer, until situations arise which place MacLane unde- suspicion of both grand larceny and kidnapping. Then MacLane. at risk of his life, sweeps into action to clear himself and also save the millionaire's business, pie second attraction on the double-star programme is "Border Brigands.
