GUERNSEY STRIPPED

Tlie Germans are rapidly stripping the Channel Island shops. especially of jewellery and food, says the Guernsey COIT espondent of the Daily Telegraph. Acceptance of "occcupation marks" is compulsory, and local branches of the British big five banks are forced to use them at the rate of seven to the pound. The island's 6000 motor-cars have been immobilised. Supplies of flour are almost exhausted, and fresh fruit is unobtainable. CLnemas are showing only German horror films.
