HEAVILY BOMBED
SHIPS SEEKING SHELTER
Rec. 12.30 a.m. London, Sept. 18. Heavy bombing of German-held Channel ports was last night's sequel of intensive reconnaissances made yesterday to spot the new positions occupied by enemy ships when they were forced to seek shelter from the gale. "Attacks on a large scale were successfully undertaken by bombers of the Royal Air Force on enemy shipping concentrations and barges," says an Air Ministry communique this morning. "Other ; planes probed inland and bombed rail communications in enemy-occupied ter- j ritory and certain targets in Germany."
