MAYFAIR THEATRE PROGRAMME.

TWO ACTION FILMS SHOWING.

In Clarence E. Mulford's "Hidden Gold," now heading a double-feature programme at the Mayfair Theatre, New Plymouth, there is plenty of action for the two-fisted, hard-riding William Boyd, as he plays another "Hopalong" role, as the man who clears a mineowner of the suspicion of stealing his own gold. Everything points to the owner, as the toll of stage-coach robbers and sudden death to the men riding guard continues to mount. Then "Hopalong" rides into the story, accompanied by his two inseparable pals, "Lucky" and "Speedy." 'Hoppy" figures the surprise answer to the mystery by dint of some slick detective work. His two pak pitch in at the close of the story with gunfire and flying fists to bring a ruthless gang of outlaws to justice. Thrilling and hilarious complications ensue when a body is found in a travelling trunk in Paramount's 'Opened by Mistake," which is the associate feature for to-day. Charlie Ruggles, Robert Paige and Janice Logan are the leading players. Cinesound's new Australian comedy "Dad Rudd, M.P.," starring Bert Bailey and Fred MacDonald, the original "Dad" and "Dave," is to open at the Mayfair next Saturday. ^ Booking plans are now open at Collier's.
