OHURA PATRIOTIC WORK
I Simpson 's hall, Ohura, was the scene i of a meeting of1 members of the Lady ; Galway Guild, who packed parcels for i men on active service overseas. The guild was able to make up a larger num- | ber of parcels than they had expected, 'as the public responded generously. Cakes were mostly made by guild members, and Mr. L. G. Davidson soldered I the tins to make them airtight. A successful bring and buy stall to ! raise fiinds for repairs to St. Andrew's I Anglican Church, Ohura, was held' recently. in charge of Mesdames W. Fulcher, W. Ricketts, S. A. Watts. M. Williams and S. W. Cowdell. | Mrs. Williamson, who has been the I guest of her daughter, Mrs. J. Murdoch, I has returned to Narrow Neck, Auckland. | Mrs. H. Seerup has returned from Auckland. The Rev. Mr. Bird and Mr. H. Ross have returned from Auckland. Mrs. R. Turnbull has returned from Tauranga. Mr. W. J. Morrison, Taumarunui, was a visitor to Ohura. Mrs. O. Sullivan, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. H. Seerup. Mrs. W. T. McKay, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Abbot, Kaponga, has returned to Ohura.
