Snugly tucked in a comfortable crate a two months old bull calf made the j trip from Ngahiwi stud to Norsewood by | the mail train last wcek. the journey | from Pukearuhe to the new purchaser's j farm in Hawkes Bay being made com- j fortably in the one day. The time is not far distant when pedigree stock will be | transported by air. Indeed Mr. Freeth } had considered sending a young calf to the South lsland by plane but the lack of air in the luggage compartment necessitated the idea being abandoned.
