By Telegraph—Press Association.
FOURTH REINFORCEMENT date fixed at october 2
Wellington, Last Night. "I am glad to say that the outbreak of measles which resulted in the postponement of calling up men of the fourth reinforcements has been very limited in extent," said the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, to-day. "After consultation with the Director-General of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt, and the DirectorGeneral of Medical Services, Colonel F. T. Bowerbank, it had now been decided to proceed with the programme of concentrating men in their respective mobilisation camps, and arrangements are in liand for the necessary movements of troops to begin on October 20. "Although a further outbreak of measles ia not regarded as likely, a recrudescence of the epidemic niay necessitate a further postponement of the concentration of the fourth reinforcements. Members of this draft, theiefore, are instructed to remain in their present employment pending receipt of an individual order to proceed to camp.
