EXAMINATION RESULTS The local secretary, Mr. R. Wats.on, Stratford, has been advised that the following were the successful candidates in the Trinity College of Music, London, examinations conducted at the Stratford centre recently by Dr. C. Edgar Ford, Mus D. (Oxon.), F.T.C.L.:— Diploma. Elocu/ion: Ailsa Aitken (Miss Beth Holden, L.T.C.L., New Plymouth). • Higher Local. Pianoforte: Eva Armstrong (Mrs. Blennerhassett). Senior. Pianoforte: Valda Beck (Miss E. Moon, F.T.C.L.). Intermediate. Pianoforte: Catherine Campbell, honours, Sheena Campbell, merit (Miss Moon), Florence Harding, merit (Mrs. Blennerhassett). Violin: Gwenyth White (Miss D. Pinson, Hawera). Junior. Pianoforte: Elwyn Fazackerley, merit, Gloria Walter (Miss Moon); Delia D'Connor, merit (Eltham Convent). Singing: Mary Charteris (Eltham Convent). Advanced Freparatory. Pianoforte: Breta Beck, merit, William Curtis (Miss Moon). Preparatory. • Pianoforte; Jeanne Oliver, merit (Miss Moon). Elocution: Brian Benton (Eltham Convent). First Steps. Pianoforte: Leone Clemow, Peter McCullough (Miss Moon); Louis Leuthard (Eltham Convent); June Grace, honours (Miss J. Bolger, Kaponga). Initial. Pianoforte: Francis Curtis, Elwyn Paynter, Mabel Raynor, Allan Sherson, merit (Miss Moon). Stratford Convent Passes. The following are the results of the music and elocution examinations held by Dr. Ford at the Stratford Convent, when all candidates presented were successful:— Senior elocution: Howard Sinclair, honours. Junior elocution: Zella Sullivan, merit. Preparatory elocution: Pamela Follock, merit. First steps elocution: Marie Brunsden. honours. First steps, piapo: Margaret Henderson, merit.
