MAYFAIR ATTRACTIONS.
ACTION IN ''HIDDEN GOLD." Suspense and mounting suspicion are climaxed with gun-play in Paramount's latest "Hopalong" Cassidy romance, "Hidden Gold," which heads the new double feature programme now showing at the Mayfair Theatre, New Plymouth. There's plenty of action for two-fisted, hard riding William Boyd, as he plays anothpr "Hopalong" role, as the man who clears a mine-owner of the suspicion of stealing his own gold. Everything points to the owner, as the toll of stagecoach robbers and sdden-death to the men riding guard continues to mount Then "Hopalong" rides into the story, accompanied by his two inseparable pals, "Lucky" and "Speedy." "Hoppy" figures the surprise answer to the mystery by dint of some sliek detective work. His two pals pitch in at th'e close of the story with gunfire and flying fists to bring a ruthless gang of outlaws to justice. Thrilling and hilarious complications ensue when a body is found in a travelling trunk in Paramount's "Opened by Mistake," which is the associate feature for to-day. Charlie Ruggles, Robert Paige and Janice Logan are the leading players.
