WEEK-END TRAINING
♦ NATIONAL RESERVE The excellent record for attendance established by the National Military Reserve, Class n, Company at New Plymouth was maintained by the officers and non-commissioned officers at a special course during the week-end. Under the supervision of Lieutenant W. Hayward, N.Z.T.S. and R.S.M. (W.O. II) E. F. McCurdy, N.Z.T.S., valuable work was done. The old Eifle Brigade badge, which is now being issued to the North Island reserve companies, is a lion rampant, a particularly appropriate emblem for the present time. The New Plymouth company, as a result of transfers out of the district and men joining the home service forces, has now a few vacancies, and those intending to join will have to do so without delay.
