ARRIVAL OF CHILDREN BRITISH EVACUEES NEW ZEALAND INQUIRY
Wellington, Last Night. No definite information is yet available of the probable date of the arrival in.the Dominion of British children to be officially evacuated. the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, stated to-night. Beyond advice that the evacuation SCheme prepared will be carried out no other information could be given at present. "Keenness of interest evinced in the scheme by New Zealanders," Mr. Parry added, "leads to very many inquiries daily by members of the community anxious to have children in their homes. I wish it were possible to let thern havgs scme definite news. "This, however, will come later and the Government will be prompt in supplying it to the people."
