Dr. Edgar Ford, examiner for the Trinity College of Music. London, is visiting New Plymouth. He is staying at the Criterion Hotel. Mr. H. C. Sampson, owner of the "Woodlands" Jersey stud, New Plymouth, has been appointed judge of the Jersey cattle section at the forthcoming show of the Blenheim A. and P. Society. On the motion of Major J. R. Kirk, Wellington, Mr. P. J. H. White, New Plymouth, has been elected a Fellow oi the Royal Empire Society. London. Advice to this effect has just been received. | Mr, F. L. Frost, M.P.. has returned to j New Plymouth from Wellington after atI tending a caucus of Ihe Government I parly. A further meeting of the Government party will be held on September 28 prior to the resumption of Parliament on Octoher 1. The Mayor of New Plymouth, Mr. E. R. C. Gilmour. received a telegram on Saturday from the Minister of Labour, I the Hon. P. C. Webb. stating that he ' would be arriving at New Plymouth tomorrow evening and would leave &gain on Wednesday mornin"
