The first round of the Moller trophy competition was played at the Gleneagles Golf Club, Hawera, on Saturday. Results are: F. Rae beat A. Galloway 4 and 3. L. Seebeck beat C. Harrison, A. Signal beat M. Merrin 4 and 3, H. A. Bennett beat C Cowan 2 and 1, W. Wakarua beat J. L- Cran, G. Liddington beat C. Mehaney 4 and 2, M. Robinson beat V. Howell 3 and 2, B. Billington beat P. H. Jones 7 and 5, E. J. Howell beat S. Shore 5 and 4, L. Des Forges beat J. Phillips 3 and 2, J. Lovell beat M. O Connor 2 and 1.
