Gillespie beat R. B. Gosnell 4 and 2. Intermediate, second round: D. O. L. Howden beat R. Mortlock 4 and 2; D. B. Cruickshank beat G. J. Bayley 1 up. Limit, -first round: L. V. Smith beat N. H. Murray 3 and 2; R. J. Keyes beat C. N. Irvine 6 and 5. Second round: G. H. Kent beat H. N. Lester 1 up; L. V. Smith beat A. McKay; Keys beat W. M. Egglestone 3 and 1.
