HITLER'S CONTRACT
AMERICAN MOTOR TRUCKS CALLING FOR DELIVERY San Francisco, July 12. A new story has been going the rounds in the United States concerning Herr Hi.tler giving General Motors an order : for 10,000 big trucks. It seems that Der , Fuehrer requested a representative of the company in Berlin to call upon him, wherever he might be. So, after considerable traipsing around in Denmark, Holland. Belgium and France the agent caught up with Hitler and had a conference with him. The salesman demurred at first^ on the ground that his company's factories were vei-v busy with domestic orders. Finally, he agreed to Hitler's persuasions when the dictator named a price that was more than satisfactory. After the contract was signed he suddenly realised, however, that it contained no provision for delivery of the 10.000 ! trucks. So he asked Der Fuehrer where ; he wished to take possession. That per- I sonage casually remarked: "Don't trouble ; yourself about that, my man. I'll pick them up ncxt year on my way through Detroit." '
