The British submarine Truant (shown above) intercepted the Norwegian steamer Tropic Sea, which was being taken to Germany under a prize crew. On board the steamer were the captain and 23 of the crew of a British merchant ship, which had been sunk by a raider. The submarine took aboard the British seamen and the Norwegian captain and his wife.
