RUGBY LEAGUE GAMES

A total of 150 players and supporters will make the journey from the Auckland province to New Plymouth for representative Rugby League football matches between South Auckland and Taranaki senior and intermediate teams. A team of boys (intermediate grade) is also making the trip to play a New Plymouth intermediate boys' team. The games will be played at Pukekura Park. For a good many of the players it will be their last game before they go into military camp. The teams include: — South Auckland senior: Full-back, T. Shaw; three-quarters, Tumata, Wilkinson, White; five-eighths, Taoho, C. Deverell; half-back, R. Shaw; forwards, Smith, Lowen, M. Wilkinson, Minhinnick, Tawha, Stevens. Taranaki senior: Full-back, Cronin; three-quarters, O'Shannessy, Villiers, Cuff; five-eighths, Fenton, Matuku; halfback, D. Hills; forwards, Perrott, Yeates, Patterson, Hills, O'Shannessy, Sykes; reserves, Phillips, Halsey, Keenan, Berg.
