Not Pigeon-holed.
Remits from branches definitely were not pigeon-holed, it was made clear by the president, Mr. H. E. Blyde, at a meeting of the North Taranaki Farmers' Union executive yesterday. He had made a practice at the executive meetings of reporting. how all local remits were dealt with by the Dominion eexcutive. The Ministerial replies were also brought before the executive arid if the matter was not followed up it was the fault of the branches or provinces. Mr. Blyde considered. It was interesting to note, said Mr. Blyde. that the Dominion execulive prior to this complaint coming forward had decided that the name of the branch forwarding the remit should be attached to the remit throughout. Taranaki Oaks Entries. "A very satisfactory entry," remarked a member at the meeting of the committee of the New Plymouth Jersey Cattle Club yesterday, when it was reported that 38 nominations had been received for the North Taranaki Oaks. and 46 for tbc 10th Taranaki Oaks. Thc hope was also exprcssed that the majority of them would carry through and come forward for judging.
